The challenge

Shell’s 2021 Powering Progress strategy accelerates its transition to a net-zero emissions energy business by 2050, aligned with the UN Paris Agreement. Aiming for a leadership and cultural shift, Shell focuses on fostering a Learner Mindset among colleagues to drive change via collaborations.

Our Solution

Existing e-learning for Learner Mindset yielded modest outcomes. Shell sought an inventive, scalable solution that: 1) scaled easily, 2) engaged employees in long-term Learner Mindset, 3) offered personalized support, 4) didn’t disrupt daily operations, and 5) allowed impact measurement for informed strategic expansion.

Key Results

The time from plan to full implementation was one month.

Retention rate was 95% of all employees in the learning journey over a total period of 2 months.

5% to 10% development on key metrics after each sprint of 2 to 4 weeks.
